Small school in cabretta leather
Small school in cabretta leather
We often get asked what the difference is between our leather when we write AAA , AA or A quality. Here we briefly explain what the model looks like in broad terms. It is worth mentioning that most suppliers use the scale slightly differently.
Our classification model
Cabretta AAA
When we use the Cabretta AAA classification, it is our finest leather. This leather comes exclusively from Indonesia and is made from lambskin. The leather is soft with a slightly damp feel and is at the same time very durable. The thickness is usually around 0.4 mm .
Cabretta AA
When we use the Cabretta AA classification, it is a good leather but not of the same high quality as leather from Indonesia. This leather usually comes from Pakistan and has a slightly drier finish. It is not as durable as AAA and is usually around 0.5-0.6 mm thick.
Cabretta A
When we use the Cabretta A classification, it is a simpler leather with a slightly rougher surface and a more uneven structure. The leather usually comes from Pakistan and is drier and more fragile than the other classifications. The thickness is normally around 0.6 mm .
Summation
In summary, it is perfectly possible to play with all of our gloves, regardless of classification. What you lose the lower the classification you use is mainly feel and durability .
