Seventh place for Oscar Abrahamsson after strong finish at Söderslätt

We were at Söderslätts GK yesterday to see Oscar Abrahamsson start the FootJoy Skåne Challenge on the Cutter & Buck Tour.

Oscar is our latest addition to Team Golfvante and plays with our Standard tour glove .

The tournament will be played August 12–14 and will bring together some of the Nordic region's top professional golfers at the Skåne country club. The atmosphere was great, with crowds lining the fairways and a course that offered both challenge and opportunity for those who hit straight.

Oscar came into the round slowly but picked up speed towards the end – and what a finish it was. After a sharp approach on the last hole it looked like it would be eagle, but the putt of just over four meters stopped just short of the hole. Oscar showed no signs of disappointment, however, and made the easy birdie without any problems. Oscar finished with birdie, birdie, birdie on the last three holes, a really strong finish to the first round.

The strong finish took Oscar to seventh place after the first round – a good starting position for the coming days.

We are of course also following our other Team Golfvante player Albin Tidén, who entered the same tournament. Albin did not have quite as sharp a day and rounded Söderslätt with 71 strokes (-1), which places him slightly further down the results list. Two eagles during the round saved the day and showed that the game was good overall – Albin just did not get everything to fall into place quite as often as Oscar. We hope that he will get off to a good start already today in round two.

The tournament continues today with round two of three, and we look forward to the continuation and keep an eye on the leaderboard to see how Oscar and Albin take on Söderslätt for the rest of the week.
